Colonel Marcia Douglas

Late Marcia Douglas was a maroon and Colonel of the Charles Town Maroon community in Jamaica. In the full interview, Douglas discusses childhood stories and games, the history of the Charles Town maroons, the community’s relationship to the land, advocacy and educational work, indigeneity and historical ties to the Taíno, and the survival of African traditions.
